Description
Discover the true essence of Santorini on a guided cultural tour that takes you through the island’s most important historical and scenic highlights.
Start your journey with a guided visit to the Akrotiri Archaeological Site, a remarkably preserved ancient city buried by volcanic ash over 3,500 years ago. Known as the “Greek Pompeii,” Akrotiri offers a rare look into a sophisticated Minoan civilization — some believe it could be the lost city of Atlantis.
Continue to Megalochori, a peaceful traditional village with narrow streets, cave houses, and classic Cycladic charm. Enjoy time to explore and see a quieter side of island life.
Next, visit the Koutsogiannopoulos Wine Museum, built inside an underground cave, where you’ll learn about 400 years of winemaking history and enjoy a tasting of local volcanic wines.
We’ll stop at the Three Bells of Firostefani, one of the island’s most iconic photo spots, with sweeping views over the caldera and the famous blue-domed church.
Finally, enjoy free time in Oia, Santorini’s most beautiful village. Explore its marble streets, boutique shops, and cliffside cafés at your own pace before we head back.

The Places you will Visit
1. Akrotiri Ruins
At the Akrotiri Archaeological Site, you’ll explore one of the most extraordinary ancient cities ever discovered. Buried under volcanic ash after the massive eruption around 1600 BC, this Bronze Age settlement remained hidden for centuries — astonishingly preserved beneath the surface. As you walk along its ancient streets, you’ll see multi-story buildings, pottery, and even drainage systems that reveal just how advanced this Minoan civilization was. What makes Akrotiri truly fascinating is its mystery: no human remains or valuables were ever found, suggesting the inhabitants escaped before disaster struck — a detail that has fueled theories linking Akrotiri to the lost city of Atlantis.

2. Megalochori
In Megalochori Village, you'll have free time to explore one of Santorini’s most charming and authentic settlements. Wander through peaceful, narrow alleyways lined with whitewashed houses, vibrant bougainvillaea, and beautifully restored mansions. Discover hidden churches with traditional bell towers, and take in the quiet rhythm of local island life. You can visit quaint shops, step inside a historic cave house, or simply relax in the village square with a Greek coffee or local treat. Megalochori’s blend of history, tradition, and unspoiled beauty makes it a perfect stop for those looking to experience the real soul of Santorini.

3. Koutsogianipoulos Wine Museum
At the Koutsogiannopoulos Wine Museum, you’ll step into the heart of Santorini’s rich winemaking tradition. Located inside a natural cave 8 meters underground, this one-of-a-kind museum takes you on a journey through 400 years of local wine history. Walk through life-sized exhibits that show how wine was made, stored, and transported on the island before modern technology. After exploring the museum, you’ll enjoy a guided tasting of Santorini’s famous volcanic wines, including the crisp and refreshing Assyrtiko. With its unique setting and deep connection to the island’s heritage, the Koutsogiannopoulos Winery offers an unforgettable cultural and sensory experience.

4. Three bells of Firostefani
The Three Bells of Firostefani is one of the most famous and beautiful places to take photos in Santorini. The view from here is incredible having the blue dome, white bell tower, and deep blue sea and caldera in the background. It’s a quick stop, but one of the best on the island for unforgettable pictures.
The real name of the church is The Catholic Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, and it has a powerful story. It was first built in the 19th century, but it had to be rebuilt several times because of strong earthquakes, including the big one in 1956, which damaged many parts of Santorini. Even after all the destruction, the church was restored and today stands as a symbol of the island’s strength and beauty. It's not just a great photo stop — it’s a place full of history and meaning.

5. Oia Village
Our final stop is the stunning village of Oia, the most famous and photographed place in Santorini. Here, you'll have free time to explore at your own pace. Walk along the marble paths, visit local art shops and boutiques, or simply relax at a café with a view. Oia is known for its white houses, blue domes, and breathtaking caldera views — every corner is perfect for photos. Whether you're shopping, taking pictures, or just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, it's the perfect way to end your day on the island.
